There are times when I.. completely lose sense of time, diving deeper and deeper inside the so-called news feed, made of all kinds of content, tickling our sense of humor, curiosity, empathy, but also your fears and your need to escape. Plus, this is a place where we keep in touch with friends and peers we might never see otherwise.

Once there, it can be so tempting to check this post, to play a few seconds of that video, to stop by that caricature, and so on, and so forth. On the other hand, Facebook is involved in some of my daily work. No way to escape!

Facebook Overwhelm in Numbers

When the pandemic started to hit worldwide, accompanied by a much bigger wave of panic and controversy, I found myself amid a turbulent ocean of information, debates and fun catching my attention and.. time, day after day. The rise of activity on Facebook was real, resulting in more of 3 billion users “for the first time ever” as revealed by Mark Zuckerberg in his post by late April. Those trends were expected by a survey conducted in the United States.
