Entrepreneurs May Need Side Hustle, Too
Side Hustle.. without doubt, has been one of the most buzzing and alluring words over the last months, feeding more and more the entrepreneurial culture among hard workers and.. dreamers. But.. shall I admit that this concept can also apply to those who already work on their own terms.. How the heck can a Freelancer dream to be free again? In my experience, it’s not that difficult to step into a hectic daily life flooded with requests, calls, emails, wanders and checkpoints here and there, while losing control of time, clarity, serenity and most of all, energy.
Weeks, months, and maybe even years go by, running after all kinds of stuff, urgent but not always that important and resonating with the very first purpose of our entrepreneurial journey. Realizing that gap can be a trigger of some emotions we do not wish to welcome : frustration, disappointment, feeling of losing control, and even some anger towards the reality or worse, the people with whom we work, i.e clients and partners.
Before looking for practical solutions to balance and to readjust the entrepreneurial sail, I believe that one single feeling is of a great help, now and every when : Gratitude.
